The graduate market is an increasingly competitive place, and here at the i2i International Soccer Academy, we recognise that a student athlete’s education is equally as important as their soccer development.
We work hard to develop a player’s ability, whilst also ensuring every individual gains the qualifications needed to prepare them for a range of careers, both inside and outside the world of soccer.
We work in partnership with the highly regarded Northumbria University (NU) which was ranked in the ‘Top 3 UK universities for international experience’ and Leeds Beckett University (LBU) achieved five out of five stars for employability in the QS Stars University Ratings 2022.
All student athletes with the i2i International Soccer Academy enrol as full-time students at their chosen university, where they can opt to study for either a:

TIMETABLES TO MAXIMIZE BENEFITS
We work closely with both universities and the relevant departments to meticulously plan our timetables in order to maximise a student’s contact time in the classroom and on the soccer field.
Both universities have a stunning campus, which are just minutes from vibrant city’s of Newcastle and Leeds.
US students are able to apply and use Federal Aid (FAFSA), Parents Plus Loans, VA Affairs and Sallie Mae Loans with both Northumbria University and Leeds Beckett University. Our specialist teams are on hand to help guide students and their families through the loans process.

ACCOMMODATION
Each i2i ISA student athlete is guaranteed single occupancy accommodation bedroom in a shared apartment within walking distance of the campus and city centre at both universities.
FACILITIES
All players in the i2i ISA have full access to ‘state of the art’ sports facilities including first class strength and conditioning suites which are used by both professional athletes and elite student athletes to enhance fitness. Holding a ranking of the Top 10 UK universities for facilities, students are also able to maximise their development with use of the laboratories including bio-mechanics, physiology and metabolic kitchens.
Why Leeds?
Leeds is a multicultural city and home to 60,000 students, which is reflected in Leeds Beckett University’s diverse community – students from 144 countries and territories across the world choose to study here, in one of the most popular student cities in the UK. Leeds is home to EPL team Leeds United.
Why Newcastle?
Newcastle is one of the top UK cities for students; it is accessible, affordable, safe and is home to EPL team Newcastle United. It was recently named the ‘No 1 Destination to visit in 2018’ (Rough guides). It is lively and diverse, known for its nightlife, art, music and sports. The compact nature of the city means it is easy to get around and become familiar with your new home. Newcastle was also listed in the ‘Top 3 Best Value Cities’ (QS Top Universities 2018).
